How we work

We operate on a four-stage model: research, create, share, practice

RESEARCH

We study community organizations to understand what makes them thrive. Our methods include interviews, pilot projects, case studies, literature review, and our own experiments.

TRY

We turn what we learn into practical tools: Design Principles, a Pattern Library, and Techniques for community builders. Everything is free and open source.

SHARE

We write on Medium and LinkedIn, and speak at conferences. We also offer 1:1 conversations with community builders applying our tools.

PRACTICE

We're not just theorists. Our members run real communities, and try out what we teach.
